Mauro Nobilini born in 1957 in Bologna.
He begins with comics balloons on the Cannibale and Charlie Hebdo
in 1979, and realizes images (from Frigidaire, Vogue, Donna, Vanity,
The Face) for fashion and music publications.
Simultaneously it begins the artistic activity like photographer
and painter. He exhibits in 1995 in the Museum Ken Damy of Brescia
and in the Basilica of San Miniato in Florence ecc..
In 2000 anthological personal exhibition in the Studio Ercolani
of Bologna. From 2001 Ling-Ku pictures, first works in computer art.
In 2002 he realizes as web master the personal site ARTLING - SuperEva.it.
Balloons, paints, photography, computer art, television,
cinema and eastern philosophies integrate themselves in the alchimia
of the artistic works.
In 2003 the official site ARTLING Web Gallery by Mauro Nobilini.
In 2005, he won the first prize for "computer art"
of 5th international Competition "18x24" of the
Circolo Artistico di Jesolo Lido di Venezia.
In 2006 is present in Hype Gallery Amsterdam at the old Post CS Building.

MECENATISMO

"Il termine mecenatismo indica il sostegno e patrocinio disinteressati in favore di artisti
e letterati o, più in generale, nei confronti di attività artistiche e culturali.

Il termine deriva dal nome di Gaio Cilnio Mecenate (68 AC - 8),
un influente consigliere di Ottaviano Augusto che formò un circolo di intellettuali e poeti
che sostenne nella loro produzione artistica.

L'atteggiamento assunto da Mecenate è divenuto un modello:
sono numerosi i regimi che si avvalgono di artisti ed intellettuali per migliorare
la propria immagine. Il termine mecenate, in paesi come l'Italia e la Francia,
indica una persona dotata di potere che sostiene concretamente la produzione di certi letterati
ed artisti. Più in generale si parla di mecenatismo anche per il sostegno ad attività
come il restauro di monumenti o il sostegno ad attività sportive.
Si usa anche il termine mecenate d'impresa per indicare un finanziatore di iniziative
imprenditoriali con caratteristiche innovative e di rischio dalle quali non si aspetta
un ritorno finanziario diretto".

Patronage

"Generally, patronage is the act of supporting or favoring some person, group, or institution.
A patronage system has different characteristics depending on the area in which it is practiced.
Generally it can be described as a system where someone in a powerful position (the Patron)
offers handouts in return for support.

The Arts Classical musicians worked primarily under the patronage system:
royalty or the church provided resources for composers. That is, patrons operated as sponsors.
This kind of system continues across many fields of the arts. Though the nature of the sponsors has changed,
the term patronage has a more neutral connotation than in politics.
It may simply refer to direct support (often financial) of an artist, for example by grants.
